"Improving the energy efficiency of the system for external lighting of for four settlements in the municipality Apriltsi"

The project proposal complies with the principles of economy, efficiency and effectiveness, and the proposed project was developed with project readiness: Option 2 "Projects with Energy Audit only": External Lighting System Energy Audits performed. The state of street lighting in the municipality at the time of preparation of the energy audit does not meet the standard for street lighting. The street lighting systems in the municipality in question, as it stands, do not provide the required minimum of sanitation standards. The relatively old lighting system, as well as its heavy maintenance, are the main reasons why it does not fully meet the requirements of the current standards. At present, the street lighting is realized with high-pressure sodium lamps, which are attached to a pillar net consisting of reinforced concrete and steel pipe columns. Based on the analysis of data on energy facilities, energy consumption and energy balances drawn up, the following summary conclusions can be drawn that point to possible energy saving zones: 1. The lighting system is not intended to provide fully artificial lighting throughout the municipality- Apriltsi, Velchevo village, Drashkova polyana village, Skandaloto village Apriltsi region Lovech 2. At the time of preparation of the project proposal, the equipment is maintained with many difficulties, only with funds of the Municipality of Apriltsi 3. The electricity used for the lighting is purchased by "CEZ Electro Bulgaria" AD. 4. The street lighting in the municipality is managed through clocks that switch on / off the lights according to a pre-set calendar schedule. Maintenance is carried out by employees in the municipality, with periodic replacement of burned-out light sources using specialized equipment. For the implementation of the prescribed energy-saving measures, it is envisaged to replace the old and depreciated lights and to add the missing ones, with new LED luminariess.
