The project aims to implement a series of activities that will contribute to the realization of energy efficiency in two public buildings, which house kindergarten “Radost” and kindergarten “Slantse”, as well as creating conditions for their transformation into buildings with close to zero consumption of energy. The buildings included in the project were selected on the basis of the following features: acute need for energy renovation, large capacity and high attendance, as well as strategic location. The set objectives will be achieved by using a combination of two types of renewable energy sources - highly efficient heat pump units and "green hydrogen", which will be produced on site by an alkaline oxyhydrogen electrolyzer with a dynamic load regime and efficiency of over 90%, which produces hydrogen and oxygen as a mixture by pulsed electrolysis of water, powered entirely by a renewable energy source - a photovoltaic generator and conveniently stored in a storage volume for future use. The main activities are: Implementation of energy saving measures in the buildings of kindergartens ''Slantse'' and "Radost"; Author and construction supervision, Exchange of experience, knowledge and best practices at management and expert level, publicity, audit and project management. The target groups that will be covered within the project are the residents of the city of Vratsa and in particular the users of the two buildings - children, teachers, educators, support and medical staff. Through the implementation of the project will be achieved full environmental friendliness, high level of efficiency up to 96%, quiet and safe environment, saving natural and financial resources. The project proposal of the Municipality of Vratsa corresponds to the priorities for the future of the European Union - "Strategy for the use of hydrogen for climate-neutral Europe", which defines hydrogen as a "key priority for the implementation of the Green Deal and the transition to clean energy."
