Green Ideas at School

The project "Green Ideas at School" aims to create programs for educational campaigns and awareness raising campaigns regarding resource management, waste recycling and the circular economy among 6 schools and the population in Pazardzhik, Sofia, Ihtiman and Lom. The leading organization is the Secondary School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the partners are the St. Sofia Primary School, a private high school with early foreign language training ESPA EOOD, the Bulgarian Food Bank Foundation, and the Causes Foundation. The specific objectives of the project are: 1. Pilot implementation, testing and validation of communication and educational campaigns with practical activities for children, parents and the local community to increase environmental culture, theoretical and practical knowledge regarding recycling and the circular economy in three schools in Pazardzhik and Sofia. With a total of 160 students and parents, a minimum of 20 teachers. 2. Creating sustainable, effective and applicable educational and communication tools to raise the culture and awareness of students, teachers, parents and the local community regarding waste recycling and the circular economy. 3. Transfer of good practices and ensuring sustainability of the results created within the project in 3 more schools in Sofia, Ihtiman and Lom. The minimum number of students that will be involved in the transfer process is 150. The duration of the project is 24 months. The main activities of the project are: 1. Development of 6 programs and conducting educational campaigns on them regarding the circular economy and recycling; 2. Development and implementation of 6 campaigns for raising awareness regarding the circular economy and recycling in schools; 3. Transfer of good practices in 3 schools. All activities will be accompanied by an extensive communication campaign.
