Changing with Climate

The implementation of the "Changing with climate" project is based on the active partnership and exchange of good practices between 7 schools from Belitsa, Berkovitsa, Burgas, Veselinovo, Razgrad, Svishtov and Sofia, 2 NGOs from Sofia, and Friends of the Earth - Norway. The planned project activities are in accordance with the priorities set out in: • The National Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change and the Action Plan • The EU Climate and Energy Legislative Package • the long-term guidelines included in the EU Green Deal, as well as • The Paris Agreement on Climate and the UN SD Goal 13 “Climate Action”. The project envisages: • Developing an online information-educational portal with basic information, educational modules, interactive games, videos, shared good practices, as well as a module for online training; • Developing 3 curricula to be approved by the Ministry of Education and Science: - Impact of climate change on the components of the environment (biodiversity, forests and water resources) - Impact of climate change on economic sectors (energy, transport, tourism, agriculture) and the urban environment - Climate change, natural disasters and human health. • Conducting a 3-day training for 120 teachers from the target areas; • Organizing 7 regional campaigns and 21 student projects in the seven target areas - total number of participants - 1540; • Organizing 1 initial, 7 regional information meetings, 7 regional conferences and 1 national conference with a total number of participants - 502; • Exchanging information and good practices between the Bulgarian partners and the Norwegian organization through virtual communication and exchange of visits (in total - 9 people); • Actively informing the public about the progress and the results of the project through 8 press conferences, active use of social networks and the operation of the project website. • Providing efficient project management in accordance with established rules.
