Enhancement of the International Police Cooperation and prevention of International Criminal Activites

The aim of the project is to increase the administrative, educational and technical capacity of IOCD for conduction of trainings, realization of projects with international or national financing and for national and international information exchange. It also aims to improve the knowledge and operational skills of the national law-enforcement officials in the field of the international police cooperation. Target group of the project are employees of the IOCD, responsible for the international operational information exchange, as well as officials from the border police and District Directorates of the MOI. The project’s main objective is to achieve high level of security on a world scale, by strengthening the administrative, technical and educational capacity of the Bulgarian law-enforcement authorities, directly tasked with international police cooperation. A specific object of the project is improvement of the methods for fighting and preventing international criminal activity. The aims and objectives of the project will be achieved by the following activities. Trainings for project management for IOCD officials, working on projects with national/international financing in the international police cooperation. Training seminars for improvement of the knowledge and skills of the law-enforcement officials from the border police and District Directorates of the MOI regarding the new and upcoming methods and systems for international police cooperation and international crime situation. Foreign language trainings for IOCD officers, directly involved in the daily international police cooperation. Purchase of additional equipment to reach full capacity of the training center established at the building of the IOCD, within the NFM 2009-2014. Bilateral training with law enforcement officials of the international police cooperation department in Greece. Part of the listed activities aim improvement of results achieved within the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014.
