The project "Model for integrated development for education and care in early childhood in Sofia city" aims to provide support to children and families from vulnerable groups living in three districts of Sofia Municipality, with a high concentration of Roma population-"Filipovtsi" in Lyulin, Fakulteta distr. in Kr.polyana, and "Hr. Botev" distr. in Slatina regions, to improve access to health care, develop parenting skills, improve the family environment, increase school readiness for children, and inclusion in the education system. It is planned to expand the services provided by already functioning centers in the residential areas "Filipovtsi" and "Fakulteta" and create a new hub, providing functionally related services for education and care at an early age,for children not included in early education in "Hr.Botev".The activities were prepared in response to an analysis of the situation,made according to the methodology "Rapid Assessment and Response" by the partner "Health and Social Developm-ent" Foundation(HESED).According to data provided by CRAS, there are 2765 children aged 0-6 in the 3 communities, and those who are not covered by educational services are 2145(acc.to data from ISSK and municipal administr.).These children are raised at home, they often have difficulties with social adaptation at school due to a lack of basic skills and an insufficient level of proficiency in Bg.The project offers a range of functionally related services to improve access to education at an early age, increase parental involvement and activate families and the community to provide quality education and care through numerous successive interventions:formation of parenting competencies, improv-ing access to health care,improving social and life skills, supporting cognitive and social development and early education of children.The project will cover over 300 children and their families and will be implemented in partnership with the Bulgarian Norwegian Association and HESED.
